At the May Pack meeting, scouts who completed their year long requirements were promoted to the next rank
and a formal ceremony. After much hard work and fun, the boys earned their new badges. Congratulations to
the new Wolves, Bears, Webelos and their den leaders - way to go!

playing games and learning!
The Pinewoond Derby on March 29th was once again a bit hit by the many scouts and families that attended.
All of the cars were amazing, the scouts worked hard to design and build each one and they should all be proud of their effort.

At the Pack Meeting on March 4th scouts learned about different careers by listening to guest speakers. A
Personal Trainer, Firefighter and an Outdoor Adventure Guide (with kayak) gave exciting details about their jobs. 2nd
year Webelos performed a funny, musical skit about jobs and responsibilities to earn their Showman badges. Many scouts
dressed in different career outfits in keeping with the job theme of the meeting!

construction. By a slim margin the Tigers won! Thank you to all the Den Leaders and Parent Volunteers for
making this another great year for Pack 4 scouting!
Many scouts experienced overnight camping onboard the USS Massachusetts Battleship on February 7th.
They explored the world's largest collection of historical naval ships, attended knot tying class, learned about morse
code and gained a better understanding of the sacrifices our Veterans made. For more info visit:

At the January Pack meeting, scouts participated in teamwork games. Special recognition was given
to top fundraisers from the popcorn sale and scouts with exemplary uniforms from the uniform inspection program.
During this month, the Tigers visited Grand Central Station and the Webelos earned their Aquanaut Badges at the YMCA and hiked
an outdoor adventure.
Bubble gum races, balloon games and lots of good deed badges were had at the December pack meeting. In keeping
with tradition, scouts enjoyed cookies from their Den Leaders. Boys also donated toys for the annual Holiday toy drive.
In November, some scouts attended the Veteran's Day Memorial in town to honor our Vets. Also many scouts
visited the nursing home to spread some community cheer and make crafts with the residents. The Scouting for Food
drive was a success - our scouts collected many cans of food for Thanksgiving meals. Great community service
and good deeds.
At the November pack meeting the Popcorn Colonel arrived and kicked off the Scout Popcorn sales. Happy
selling!
